As part of our Dealer Installs series, we’ve invited our dealers to share some of their new and exciting Future POS installations. Today’s post looks at the Spotted Horse Tavern located in Westport, Connecticut. An installation completed by Future POS authorized dealer, Positive POS.
Opened in early 2012, the Spotted Horse Tavern is the work of a group of local restaurateurs in the Westport, Connecticut area. Offering an extensive menu with affordable fare, the Spotted Horse draws locals and travelers in for its delicious meals and colonial atmosphere. Housed in the historic Sherwood House, built in the early 1800s, the restaurant offers customers the opportunity to dine in the building’s restored elegance, which includes reclaimed horse stall doors and the trademark spotted horse picture.
The menu includes delicious, and often locally sourced offerings like Lobster Macaroni, Ahi Tuna Tacos, and 8 Hr Braised Boneless Short Ribs. Not to mention an extensive selection of salads for the vegetable lover, and the option to add seared tuna, grilled salmon, shrimp, or chicken to any one of these delectable and fresh options. The delicious and entertaining Sunday Jazz Brunch is popular with the local crowd and features live jazz music in addition to the delicious brunch menu, which you can view here.
This basic install includes three point-of-sale terminals, tied to the kitchen via two IP printers, and a server machine. The Spotted Horse Tavern also takes advantage of the Future POS fingerprint integration, and added integrated U.Are.U fingerprint readers after their initial installation. The fingerprint readers enable employees to simply scan their fingerprint to clock in and out or sign in and out of the terminals. This also prevents employees from “buddy punching,” increasing the accuracy of employee punch times.
